On May 5, the Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Provincial Police said that it had issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the defendant and execute an arrest warrant for Vo Dang Ngoc (23 years old, from An Giang province) to investigate the crime of "Violating regulations on road traffic participation".
Previously, late on November 8, 2025, Vo Dang Ngoc drove a motorbike in a state of alcohol concentration exceeding the permitted level, carrying one person behind, traveling on Tran Phu street, passing through Ham Thuan Nam commune (Lam Dong).
During the traffic, Ngoc drove the vehicle in the wrong lane, did not comply with traffic signs, caused an accident with a motorbike going in the opposite direction, seriously injuring one person.
Based on the investigation results, the Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Provincial Police has initiated a criminal case, prosecuted the accused and executed an arrest warrant for Vo Dang Ngoc for the above-mentioned act.
The case is being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
