According to the plan of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long province from June 1 to 7, the unit focuses on implementing many key tasks to promote the development of culture, sports, tourism and complete important mechanisms and policies in the area.
During the week, the Department will advise the Provincial People's Committee to register for the development of a Resolution stipulating the principles and criteria for allocating capital to implement the National Target Program on cultural development for the period 2025 - 2035. At the same time, establish a Council for recruiting civil servants in 2026 in accordance with regulations.
The cultural sector is also preparing to serve the 920th Supervisory Delegation of the Provincial Party Committee on thoroughly grasping and implementing Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of Vietnamese culture; and at the same time summarizing and completing the contents related to the Vinh Long province logo design contest.
Notably, the Department will organize an educational program to learn about the life and career of Chairman of the Council of Ministers Pham Hung at the Pham Hung Memorial Area for 150 students of Long Phuoc Secondary School. In addition, there is an outdoor exhibition specializing in National Intangible Cultural Heritage - My Long Sea Offering Festival.
The unit continues to complete the dossiers of resolutions on sports regimes and policies; launch the Vinh Long Provincial Cultural Reading Ambassador Contest in 2026; develop a plan to participate in national-level cultural and tourism events and prepare tourism promotion activities at the Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair in 2026.
