In 2025, the Party Committee and Command of Coast Guard Region 3 have led and directed the comprehensive, synchronous, and drastic implementation of all aspects of work; successfully and excellently completed assigned tasks, contributing to firmly protecting sovereignty, maintaining security and order at sea.
In particular, the unit has seriously implemented the task of combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing; maintaining forces and means of combat readiness, patrolling, controlling, protecting sovereignty, enforcing the law, search and rescue at sea.
This is demonstrated by the mobilization of 451 ships and boats to perform tasks of more than 239,000 nautical miles in a safe manner; organizing 2 peak periods of IUU prevention, inspecting 303 fishing vessels, sanctioning administrative violations of more than 2.1 billion VND; investigating and handling 15 cases and confiscating more than 140,000 liters of oil, more than 2,800 m3 of saltwater sand... At the same time, participating in the dismantling of 8 drug cases, arresting 8 subjects and issuing decisions to prosecute 6 criminal cases...

In particular, continue to perform well the search, rescue and relief tasks; participate in helping people prevent and overcome the consequences of natural disasters and floods. Strengthen propaganda and dissemination of regulations on IUU fishing prevention and control; effectively implement programs and activities in assigned and managed sea areas.
