On August 21, according to Hung Yen Provincial Police, on August 5, Vu Thu Power Company received information about a power outage on a branch of the power line in Van Xuan commune.
Through inspection, functional forces determined that the cause of the incident was that the kite string was caught in the power line, causing an electrical short circuit and affecting power transmission and supply.
Immediately after receiving the information, Van Xuan Commune Police coordinated with relevant units to verify and clarify the incident. The commune police identified 2 students, B.C.D and T.D. T (both born in 2010, residing in Van Xuan commune) who released kites, leading to the kite string getting caught in the power line.
Based on the nature and severity of the violation and the provisions of law, Van Xuan Commune Police issued a decision to sanction administrative violations for the above 2 cases for violating regulations on protecting power projects.
Van Xuan Commune Police requested each citizen to raise awareness of complying with regulations on protecting power projects; families to strengthen management and education of their children, contributing to preventing accidents, ensuring the safety of people's lives and the safety of the power grid system in the area.
