On the morning of March 22, at Vinh Long Traditional Medicine Hospital, the Department of Health organized a launching ceremony for the emulation movement to plant trees and build "Green - Clean - Beautiful Medical Facilities" throughout the province.
The activity is part of a series of events to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Vietnam Social Work Day (March 25, 2016 - March 25, 2026), contributing to raising community awareness, towards a friendly, safe and sustainable healthcare environment.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Ho Thi Thu Hang - Director of Vinh Long Department of Health - called on the entire sector to promote the spirit of proactiveness, creativity, and emulation to build green, clean, and beautiful medical facilities, protect the environment, and improve service quality.
Through the movement, the health sector focuses on discovering and honoring collectives and individuals with effective initiatives in building a green, clean and beautiful healthcare environment, contributing to spreading good models and good practices throughout the province.
The launching ceremony has the characteristics of the health sector, creating a positive spillover effect, helping the community understand and share with the medical staff, thereby enhancing the prestige of the health sector and strengthening people's trust.
Immediately after the ceremony, delegates and youth union members participated in planting 100 trees in the hospital premises; at the same time, medical facilities and social protection facilities simultaneously deployed to respond to the movement.
The entire health sector registered to plant nearly 2,500 thanh tra trees, both creating a green, clean and beautiful landscape, and contributing to promoting the typical image of the locality, promoting health development associated with tourism.
