At the program "Medical examination, free medicine distribution, gift giving - For a healthier Vietnam" in Dang Thuy Tram commune (Quang Ngai province), Deputy Minister Tran Van Thuan said that returning to Dang Thuy Tram commune in March - the month of youth and dedication - is an opportunity to remind of a beautiful symbol of medical ethics and living ideals. The program not only brings practical medical examination and treatment and gift giving activities but also spreads the spirit of serving people's health.
Affirming that protecting, caring for and improving people's health is a particularly important political task, Deputy Minister Tran Van Thuan emphasized the need to continue to invest in grassroots healthcare and preventive medicine - the foundation of a sustainable healthcare system. If charity programs are organized methodically, according to expertise and needs, they will not only help people access healthcare services but also contribute to strengthening social trust in the health sector.

In Dang Thuy Tram commune, a series of practical activities have been implemented: medical examination for hundreds of people; performing tests, ultrasounds, electrocardiograms, X-rays; cataract surgery; supporting heart surgery for children; donating medical equipment to the locality... The total value of support is up to about 2 billion VND.
Dr. Ha Anh Duc - Chairman of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association - said that the program is not only a charity activity but also a commitment to bring high-quality medical services closer to people in remote and isolated areas.
Screening and supporting in-depth surgeries have contributed to helping people improve their quality of life, reduce the burden of disease, and towards the goal of "no one being left behind" in health care.
As a mountainous commune with more than 99% of the population being ethnic minorities, the access to health services for people in Dang Thuy Tram commune is still limited.
Leaders of Dang Thuy Tram commune also hope that in the coming time, they will continue to receive the attention and support of the Ministry of Health and affiliated agencies and units, especially in increasing investment in facilities and medical equipment; improving the professional capacity of grassroots medical staff; as well as creating conditions for people in remote and isolated areas to have better access to quality healthcare services.
