Highest subsidy for children with severe disabilities

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Clause 6, Article 5 of Decree 20/2021/ND-CP stipulates that people with severe disabilities and people with extremely severe disabilities according to the provisions of the law on people with disabilities who are social protection beneficiaries of monthly social allowances.

Point e, Clause 1, Article 6 of Decree 20/2021/ND-CP stipulates the monthly social allowance for people with disabilities as follows:

- Coefficient 2.0 for people with severe disabilities;

- Coefficient 2.5 for children with severe disabilities or the elderly who are severely disabled;

- Coefficient 1.5 for people with severe disabilities;

- Coefficient 2.0 for children with severe disabilities or the elderly who are severely disabled.

Article 1, Decree 76/2024/ND-CP stipulates that the standard level of social assistance applied from July 1, 2024 is VND 500,000/month.

Thus, the highest social allowance for children with severe disabilities is 2.5 x 500,000 VND/month = 1.25 million VND/month.
