The New Chapter of The Heritage Show will officially premiere from February 22 when using stage performance language to recreate cultural heritage stories, opening up a vivid emotional journey through 3 typical regions of Central Vietnam.
Accordingly, The New Chapter of The Heritage Show is not just a performance but a dialogue between the past and the present, between tradition and creativity. The show is like a journey to explore the heritage of Central Vietnam - where sacred rituals, folk festivals, and the rhythm of everyday life are cherished, selected, and subtly recreated on stage.
Light, music, dance, costumes and modern stage layout together create a space filled with emotions, where Vietnamese heritage "speaks" in the language of art itself.

The show is divided into 3 main segments, each segment is a separate journey but closely linked in the overall emotion:
Hue – Imperial imprint and martial spirit
The journey starts from Hue with the space of the Nguyen Dynasty capital, majestic and imbued with identity. Here, materials from court rituals are selected to create a solemn space experience, reflecting the order and authority of the ancient royal palace.
The rhythmic cup dance and the image of Ho Quyen are recreated as distinctive imprints, highlighting the ethical spirit and martial spirit of the ancient capital of Hue - a World Cultural Heritage recognized by UNESCO in 1993.
Champa – Sacred beliefs and spiritual flow
Champa space leads the audience into the world of mysterious beliefs, where people place their faith in heaven and earth and the birth of all things. Kate festival, Apsara dance and sacred water procession rituals blend in with the bustling sound of trumpets and drums, recreating the profound spiritual life of the Cham people.
This segment is like a vivid film about belief, honoring the strong bond between humans - gods - nature in a brilliant civilization that once existed along the Central region.

Hoi An - Folk life and community spirit
Closing the journey is Hoi An ancient town - a place of cultural and maritime life intersection. In the space of a rustic fishing village, the musical material of Bai Choi is skillfully interwoven, becoming a string retelling the story of lifestyle, belief and cohesion of Hoi An people.
That spirit is refined in the image of the bamboo tree - a symbol of the Vietnamese people being persistent, resilient, always rising up and maintaining their character through many changes.
The new version of The Heritage Show is directed by General Director Nguyen Bong Mai - director, stage script writer with 20 years of experience in creating and producing large-scale art and entertainment shows. She is the author of many stage plays, musicals and television formats, and also implements a variety of performance projects - from street art shows such as Loang Xoang, Tinh Tuom to stages combining extreme sports and typical visual arts such as Symphony of River.

The combination of contemporary artistic thinking, creative body language and a professional cast helps The New Chapter of The Heritage Show become a vibrant performance space – where heritage is accessed through emotions and modern stage experiences.
The New Chapter of The Heritage Show not only introduces a new staging version, but also marks a turning point in the way Vietnamese heritage is told, felt and lived with the times. With the language of stage art, the show takes traditional cultural values beyond the space of preservation, continues to spread, connect and reach today's audience - like a continuous, persistent and inspiring journey.
