On June 15, at the training ground of Regiment 842, units including Trieu Van Border Guard Station, Hai An Border Guard Station, Border Guard Flotilla 2 and ship CN 09 under Con Co Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command) coordinated to organize live-fire drills in 2026.
The inspection content includes firing live ammunition from AK submachine guns, round 2, K54 pistols, round 2, and round 2B according to the combat training plan set out.
Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Minh Hop - Deputy Chief of Staff of the Border Guard of Quang Tri province attended, directed and supervised the inspection session. Coming to encourage the forces was Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Tan - Commander, Area 4 - Trieu Phong Defense Command.

Before entering the firing series, the units organized the launch of an emulation movement with the theme "Calm, confident, good shooting, absolute safety". The organizing committee seriously grasped the inspection plan, requesting all officers and soldiers to strictly comply with training discipline, and correctly implement key movement principles to ensure absolute safety of people and weapons and equipment.
Due to doing a good job of preparation and organizing close training in advance, the soldiers participating in the inspection all showed a high sense of responsibility, calmly handling situations and practicing shooting according to technical and tactical principles. At the end of the inspection, many comrades who achieved excellent results were commended and awarded the title "Excellent Shooter" right at the training ground.
This inspection aims to assess the actual level of use of infantry weapons and the psychological bravery of officers and soldiers in close combat conditions. This is an important basis for units to continue to innovate and improve the quality of training, combat readiness, and well meet the requirements of managing and firmly protecting national territorial sovereignty and border security in the new situation.
