Not seeking uniformity, the exhibition places two creative journeys in parallel to highlight the difference.
50 works on Do paper and oil paint by Trang Thanh Hien and Ly Tran (Tran Phuong Ly) reflect two approaches, from contemplation, meditation to the movement of emotions and shaping structures, thereby raising questions about beauty in today's life.
On Trang Thanh Hien's side, painting is a journey of contemplation. The ink material on Do paper combined with wood carving techniques is not simply an aesthetic choice, but also a continuation of the study of ancient fine arts and Vietnamese Buddhist art.
Familiar images such as lotus flowers, Sala flowers or folk motifs are rearranged into structures that evoke the mandala, where all elements revolve around a spiritual axis. The painting space therefore brings a feeling of stillness but still contains inner vibrations.

A noteworthy point in this comeback is the change in color. Besides the familiar black and white tones, pink, purple, and pink colors appearing contribute to softening the structure and expanding expressive ability. This shift creates a noteworthy connection between the two artists at two different personality extremes.
Meanwhile, Ly Tran brings an open, flexible and international energy. Experiencing many cultural spaces contributes to shaping a constantly shifting visual mindset in her. From expressive works, where emotions are directly expressed through colors and strokes, she moves towards "organic stereoscopic abstraction".

There, images are segmented, restructured and blended into soft movements, evoking the rhythm of the living and natural body. This process shows a clear shift in shaping thinking, from intuition to a constructive structure.
When placing two artists in the same space, the meeting point is not in form but in depth of perception. Both aim to identify the essence and find sustainable values in a life of many changes. One person goes from tradition to scrutinize the present, the other from cross-cultural experiences to create a new language.
The exhibition "Beautiful Life" taking place at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, from May 6 to 10, will introduce 50 works on Do paper and oil paint by Trang Thanh Hien and Ly Tran (Tran Phuong Ly), opening up continued reflections on art and life.
