On the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30); 72nd anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory Day (May 7); 136th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19).
The Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum has just displayed a photo exhibition with the theme "70th Anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory - Eternal Moments".
Recorded by reporters on April 30, a large number of people and tourists came to the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum to look back at the historical pages in images. In the sacred space, many tourists lingered in front of the art photos.


Ms. Vu Thi Tuyet Nga - Director of the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum said: "Through the exhibition, we want to widely propagate the historical, cultural, and revolutionary traditions of the nation.
Thereby, strongly arousing patriotism, national pride and aspiration to contribute; encouraging the strength of great national unity in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland".
Also according to the Director of the Museum, the display space aims to continue to introduce to the public the image of the solemn and heroic atmosphere of the historic May days during the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 2024).


At the same time, this is an opportunity to depict the portraits of historical witnesses of the 1954 campaign, expressing boundless respect and gratitude to the heroic martyrs who fell for the independence and peace of the nation.
The exhibition introduces to the public 55 unique art photos (extracted from photos donated by photographer Nguyen A in 2024). The works are divided into 3 content areas.


Recreating the solemn and heroic atmosphere of the 2024 military parade and march with images of the forces: Women's Army Band, Engineering - Infantry block, Artillery, Dien Bien Soldiers, Army, Navy, Air Defense - Air Force, Coast Guard and Veterans...
Portrait images of historical witnesses, veterans who dedicated their youth and blood and bones to create a Dien Bien Phu that is "famous in five continents, shaking the earth".



Images of people, domestic and international tourists gathering in Dien Bien to visit relics and participate in commemorative activities.
The 2nd time coming to Dien Bien (the first time on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory in 2014), Ms. Hoang Thi Cho (Chieng Mung commune, Son La province) could not hide her emotion when she first stepped into the space of the Museum.

Recalling the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (2024), I only got to sit at home and watch live television through TV. Today, standing here, looking at the photos recording the moment of the parade blocks, I feel very touched" - Ms. Cho said.
The photo exhibition "70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory - Eternal Moments" will serve people and tourists until the end of May 20.


On this occasion, at the Dien Bien Phu Base Group Command Tunnel (De Castries Tunnel) historical site, the Provincial Relic Management Board also organized a photo exhibition with the theme "Dien Bien Phu Victory - historical gold milestone", attracting a large number of people and tourists to visit.
The exhibition introduces 70 images and documents about the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, the modern and developed appearance of Dien Bien today, selected and arranged in 3 parts.
