On the evening of August 31, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team won the runner-up position at the VTV Cup International Volleyball Tournament, after a 0-3 defeat to Korabelka Club (Russia) in the final. This is also the last international tournament at the national team level in 2024 for coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team.
After this tournament, the players will return to their home teams to prepare for phase 2 of the 2024 national championship. This is a tournament for new players to demonstrate their abilities and seek opportunities to be selected for the national team for international tournaments next year.
According to the expected schedule, around May - June 2025, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will participate in the Asian tournament - AVC Challenge Cup.
Previously, although the International Volleyball Federation had officially stopped organizing this tournament, the leadership of the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) announced that the AVC Challenge Cup would continue to be held annually to create a playground for teams. However, the results are no longer valid for competing for tickets to the FIVB Challenger Cup or Nations League (VNL).
Currently, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is the defending champion of this tournament for 2 consecutive years (2023, 2024).
Around July - August 2025, Bich Tuyen and her teammates will continue to participate in the international tournament VTV Cup 2025. This is also one of the annual tournaments gathering strong teams or clubs in Asia.
Also in August next year (August 22 - September 7, 2025), if everything goes smoothly regarding Thailand's hosting of the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship (World Cup), the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will participate in the world's top tournament for the first time. Fans are waiting for the final decision from the relevant parties.
According to the plan, in September 2025, there will be 2 rounds of the Southeast Asian Volleyball Tournament - SEA V.League. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team are determined to usurp the throne of "arch-rival" Thailand.
By December 2025, one of the most important tournaments of the year for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is the 333rd SEA Games. We are the current runner-up in this tournament. Vietnam's top goal is to aim for the gold medal, although it will certainly face many difficult challenges.
