Round 1 of the 2024 - 2025 Premier League took place excitingly, with only 2 matches ending inconclusively. Among the big and notable names, the two representatives of London, Chelsea and Tottenham, are the saddest.
But while Chelsea unsurprisingly lost to defending champion Manchester City, Tottenham were held to a draw by Leicester City, who just returned to the Premier League this season.
This weekend, round 2 takes place without any early Friday matches, but Manchester United are still the opening team. After winning 1-0 against Fulham at Old Trafford, the "Red Devils" will be a guest against Brighton.
Brighton was in high form right from the friendly series and started the season with a 3-0 win at Everton - the biggest win to take the top spot in the group after round 1. Last season, Brighton won at Old Trafford but lost to Man United. at home in the second leg.
The 9:00 p.m. series features matches between Man City (hosting Ipswich Town) and Tottenham (also playing at home against Everton.
The latest match on Saturday is Arsenal's away trip to Aston Villa.
Round 2 doesn't have any major battles, but on Sunday the focus will be on Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle.
