Expected FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 schedule: Vietnam national team vs Thailand national team on September 29th

FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 will be concentrated in Indonesia. This helps teams limit travel but the competition density is still quite high.

According to the announced draw results, the Vietnamese team is in Group B with Thailand, Philippines and Pakistan. According to the competition format, the teams play a single round-robin to determine the ranking.

In the last round of Group B, the Vietnamese team will face Pakistan at 4:00 PM on October 2nd. After this match, the team will determine the final position in the group.

If leading Group B, the Vietnamese team will win the right to enter the final, taking place at 8:00 PM on October 5th. Conversely, if ranked second in the group, Quang Hai and his teammates will play the third-place match at 4:00 PM on the same day.

The fact that the tournament is organized centrally in Indonesia helps the Vietnamese team not have to constantly change the venues between countries. However, the 3-day break between matches forces the coaching staff to allocate forces and focus on physical recovery.
