Apple confirmed that the "Surprise and Shine" event took place at 10:00 AM on September 9 Pacific time, equivalent to 0:00 AM on September 10 Vietnam time. Therefore, many Vietnamese users may mistakenly believe that Apple launched the new iPhone on September 9, but according to Vietnam time, the actual event took place after midnight, entering September 10.
Users can watch live on the Apple website, Apple TV application and YouTube.
However, this is the time Apple announces the product, not the time the device starts to be sold. Users cannot order iPhone 18 Pro right during the event.
Launch, pre-order and opening for sale are 3 different milestones
According to convention, Apple will announce the iPhone at the event, then pre-order and finally officially sell/delivery.
With iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, sources currently predict Apple may open pre-orders on September 12 and start selling from September 18. However, this is not Apple's official schedule.
