Attending the Congress were Mr. Le Tien Chau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Bui Quang Huy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee.
The 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the city, term 2025 - 2030 is a widespread political activity of youth union members, an important political event, affirming the spirit of democracy, innovation, pioneering, creative, and voluntary of the youth. The Congress also marks a new step in promoting the role, potential, creativity and ability to contribute to the implementation of the young generation together with the Party Committee, army and people of Hai Phong city, contributing to building a "Modern, civilized, and pioneering port city in building socialism".
In the period 2022 - 2025, the City Youth Union has deployed 6,000 youth projects and tasks; maintained 725 volunteer teams "Digital Literacy" with the participation of 14,950 members, organized nearly 1,000 training activities, mobile propaganda, installation and use of VneID, VssID, propaganda and guidance on internet access, basic information security, avoiding digital fraud; identifying and preventing bad and toxic information in digital space for 66.209 people in the city. At the same time, established 115 youth volunteer teams to support the operation of local authorities at 2 levels, attracting nearly 2,000 union members and youth to participate.
Activities of drinking water, remembering the source, and gratitude to heroic martyrs and people with meritorious services are concerned and focused on by the Youth Union levels. The whole city has digitized 866 historical landmarks and red addresses, digitized 100% of martyrs' cemeteries with a total value of 4,330 million VND; coordinated to restore 200 martyrs' memorials; established a delegation to visit, encourage, and give 14,634 gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and families with meritorious services to the revolution with a total value of 7,318 million VND; organized 95 volunteer medical examination and free medicine distribution programs for 14,250 policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services to the revolution with a total value of 4,275 million VND.
Along with that, Youth Union organizations at all levels are constantly consolidated and strengthened; the front of solidarity and youth gathering continues to be expanded. The work of fostering and introducing outstanding youth union members to the Party is identified as a key and consistent task. During the term, Youth Union levels introduced 13,737 outstanding youth union members to the Party, 6923 outstanding youth union members were admitted to the Party; the Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union (old) introduced 10,014 outstanding youth union members to the Party for consideration and training, of which 5,740 youth union members were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The Congress announced the Decision of the Secretariat of the Central Youth Union on appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hai Phong City, term I, term 2025 - 2030. Accordingly, the Executive Committee includes 41 comrades, the Standing Committee includes 13 comrades; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Hai Phong City Youth Union, term I, term 2025 - 2030; Ms. Duong Thi Huong Giang, Mr. Nguyen Tien Manh, Mr. Do Duc Chinh were appointed to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union.
The Congress also announced the Decision of the Secretariat of the Central Youth Union on the allocation and appointment of the Delegation of Hai Phong City to attend the 13th National Youth Union Congress, including 18 official delegates and 5 alternate delegates.
