Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front visits and presents gifts to policy families in Hai Phong

On the afternoon of July 24, Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, visited and presented gifts to policy families in Hai Phong City.

Also participating in the delegation were: Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Cao Huy; Deputy Minister of Justice Nguyen Thanh Ngoc; Head of the Social Work Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Cao Xuan Thao; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hai Phong City Pham Van Lap.

The delegation visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Dang (born in 1927, Kha Lam residential group, Kien An ward). Doi's mother has 2 children who are martyrs, and was awarded the title of "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" in 2014. The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front kindly asked about her health and expressed his deep affection and gratitude for the great sacrifices and contributions of the Vietnamese Heroic Mother to the cause of fighting, national liberation and national reunification. President Do Van Chien wished Mother Dang good health, a spiritual support for her children and grandchildren to continuously strive for in work and life.

Also in the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Luu Trung Sinh (born in 1950, residing in Le Duan 1 group, Kien An ward), a 2/4-class war invalid, with a body injury rate of 61%. Mr. Luu Trung Sinh enlisted in February 1968 and was injured on April 15, 1970 in Laos. He was former Head of the Vocational Training Department of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Hai Phong City. In 2008, he retired and participated in the work of becoming the Head of the Veterans Association in the residential group. He and his family are always exemplary in complying with local regulations and policies and the state.

Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien visited and presented gifts to Mr. Le Van Thao (born in 12, Vinh Khe residential group, An Hai ward), a resistance fighter infected with toxic chemicals, with a body injury rate of 61%. Mr. Le Van Thao operated on the Tay Ninh battlefield from December 1972 to April 7.25. After that, he was a delivery worker at Hai Phong Fiber Company, retiring in 2005. The family always complies with the policies of the Party and the State.

The delegation visited Mr. Do Huy Nong (born in 2020, Hong Bang ward), a 3/4-class war invalid with a body injury rate of 45%, and a resistance fighter infected with toxic chemicals. Mr. Nong enlisted in May 1968 and was injured on August 29, 1978 at the Southwestern Border. He was former Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of So Dau Ward (old) now Hong Bang Ward. The family complies well with the Party's guidelines and the State's laws and policies; actively participates in local movements.

During the working trip, leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Loc (born in 1945, Gia Vien ward), a 3/4-class disabled soldier, with a body injury rate of 41%, a resistance fighter infected with toxic chemicals. Mr. Loc enlisted in September 1965, and was injured on May 10, 1968 in Binh Tri Thien. Mr. Loc has 2 sons, one of whom was affected by toxic chemicals.

Visiting and encouraging the war invalids and people with meritorious services to the revolution, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien expressed his affection and deep gratitude to those who have contributed and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation.

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front affirmed that the Party and State always pay special attention to policy families and people with meritorious services to the revolution. On the occasion of the anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front hopes that war invalids and sick soldiers will continue to support their children and grandchildren, and the locality will build the homeland to become more and more prosperous, especially in the current period of transition to a two-level local government.

moved by the affection and concern of the leaders of the Party, State and city authorities at all levels, Mr. Do Huy Nong shared: "Today, welcoming a delegation of Party and State leaders to visit, although you are very busy but still giving time to the people, including me personally, I am very touched. As a soldier, participating in 3 battles to protect the Fatherland, his health is limited but the State and the army require him to continue fighting. After returning to the locality to rest, the locality has work requirements, and if I have the ability, I will continue to participate and contribute to the locality as much as possible."
