On August 25, the People's Committee of Da Nang City coordinated with the Da Nang City Youth Union to organize a dialogue program between city leaders and youth delegates in 2026 with the theme: "Promoting the pioneering role of Da Nang youth in accompanying youth and children, participating in building new rural areas and socio-economic development in border areas, mountainous areas, and ethnic minority areas".
The program is one of the specific activities to implement the City Party Committee's policy on promoting democracy, strengthening direct dialogue between heads of Party committees and authorities and the People.
At the same time, the program creates a forum for city leaders to meet, listen to the thoughts, aspirations, proposals, and suggestions of union members and youth. Thereby, promptly directing the resolution of issues of youth concern, promoting the role of youth in the cause of building and developing the city.
Speaking at the opening of the program, Mr. Ho Ky Minh - Standing Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee - said that in the past time, the city has implemented many practical movements and action programs, strongly focusing on grassroots levels, especially paying attention to mountainous areas, remote and isolated areas and ethnic minority areas.
Many volunteer activities, social security, accompanying youth and children, supporting livelihood development, building new rural areas, transferring scientific and technical advances, digital transformation, environmental protection, and caring for children in difficult circumstances have created positive spillover effects in the community.
Besides the achieved results, we also need to frankly recognize that mountainous areas, border areas and ethnic minority areas still face many difficulties.
Infrastructure conditions, access to education, healthcare, employment, digital transformation and social services are not uniform. The lives of a part of the people in general and young people and children in particular are still limited. These are issues that require the joint efforts of the entire political system, in which the Youth Union organization and the youth force play a particularly important role," Mr. Minh emphasized.
At the dialogue program, city leaders will directly exchange and answer key content groups such as: mechanisms and policies to support youth to participate in economic development in mountainous areas. Solutions to promote the role of youth in building new rural areas.
Caring for and accompanying youth and children. Developing young human resources who are ethnic minorities; promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and digital transformation. Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups. Strengthening volunteer activities, social security and other issues that union members and youth are interested in.
