On June 30, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phuoc Thang ward (HCMC) said that the "For the Poor" fundraising walking program in 2026 combined with the urban embellishment campaign in response to the emulation movement "All people join hands to protect the environment, for a green - clean - beautiful Vietnam" has received the support of a large number of people in the area.
The program organized by the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phuoc Thang ward has attracted more than 3,000 participants, contributing to spreading the spirit of mutual affection, raising awareness of environmental protection and building a civilized and meaningful lifestyle in the ward. Through this, the "For the Poor" Fund of Phuoc Thang ward has received nearly 620 million VND in support from organizations, individuals, businesses and people.
Along with walking activities to support the "For the Poor" Fund, union members, association members, officials, civil servants, soldiers and people in the ward also simultaneously launched environmental sanitation campaigns, collected waste, cleared bushes, removed black spots of garbage and embellished the landscape on the roads. Through this activity, it has contributed to building a green - clean - beautiful living environment, spreading awareness of environmental sanitation in the community.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also presented 10 bicycles to students in difficult circumstances with a total value of more than 33 million VND; 3 livelihood allowances with a total value of 23 million VND; 30 social security gifts with a total value of 30 million VND; 28 health insurance cards for difficult circumstances in the area.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Ban - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Phuoc Thang ward - said that the achieved results continue to affirm the consensus of the entire political system, the support of the business community and people in social security work, joining hands to care for the poor and people in difficult circumstances. At the same time, calling for continuing to promote the tradition of solidarity, joining hands to care for social security, contributing to building the locality to become increasingly sustainable and meaningful.
