Ho Chi Minh City - The signing of a coordination program between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Coast Guard Region 3 Command contributes to strengthening the protection of sea and island sovereignty.

Within the framework of the working trip to the Con Dao special zone, on April 11, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the Coast Guard Region 3 Command to organize a conference to inform about the sea and island situation, propagate and prevent illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing and implement the signing ceremony of coordination programs for the period 2026 - 2030.

At the program, delegates were informed about the sea and island situation; law enforcement work at sea; and at the same time, thoroughly grasped regulations related to preventing and combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, an important content today in the context of international integration.

The highlight of the conference was the signing ceremony of a coordination program to implement 2 key contents, including the "Accompanying Fishermen" program and the "For the Homeland's Sea and Islands - For the Frontline of the Fatherland" program for the period 2026 - 2030.

The signing of the coordination program between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Coast Guard Region 3 Command opens up a close coordination mechanism, affirming the close connection between the two units in performing the task of protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.

At the same time, this is the foundation for units to effectively coordinate in promoting propaganda, organizing practical care programs, towards the homeland's sea and islands, contributing to building the "people's heart formation", the national defense - security formation of the people at sea.
