On May 6, the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vu Ban commune, Ninh Binh province organized the launching ceremony and groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of great solidarity houses in 2026.
With the motto "Don't leave anyone behind", in the past time, Vu Ban commune has always cared for the poor and people in difficult circumstances, through many meaningful and practical activities. In 2025, hundreds of gifts were handed directly to people with meritorious services to the revolution, households in difficult circumstances and vulnerable people in the area. The total amount of money allocated for social security work is over 1.4 billion VND.
Promoting the achieved results, in 2026, Vu Ban commune pays special attention to social security work, reviewing housing conditions of households in the commune, especially households belonging to poor households, near-poor households, and people in difficult circumstances.
The whole commune still has 23 households with houses that do not ensure solidity, of which 16 households need to rebuild houses and 7 households need to upgrade and repair houses. Based on the actual situation in the locality, Vu Ban commune has launched and called on collectives, businesses, and philanthropists to contribute and support the construction of a social security fund and a program to build great solidarity houses for poor households in the locality.
With the spirit of solidarity and sharing, at the launching ceremony, many businesses and philanthropists contributed and supported, with a total amount of more than 1.4 billion VND.
Representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vu Ban commune said that in May, the locality started construction of 16 new houses of great solidarity and helped 7 households repair their houses to be safer and more solid. Accordingly, poor households building new houses are supported with 100 million VND, near-poor households are supported with 80 million VND for new construction and 40 million VND for households repairing houses.
