Updated from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 13:00 on August 5, the center of storm No. 3 was located at about 17.4 degrees North latitude - 119.3 degrees East longitude, over the southeast sea area of the Northern East Sea. The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 8 (62-74 km/h), gusting at level 10. The storm moves in the East-Northeast direction at a speed of about 5 km/h.
Forecast for the next 24 hours, the storm will move in an East direction, at a speed of 5-10 km/h and gradually weaken into a tropical depression.
By 13:00 on August 6, the center of the tropical depression will be located at about 17.4 degrees North latitude - 121.3 degrees East longitude; in the area north of Luzon Island (Philippines). Wind intensity is strong at level 6, gusting at level 8.
The dangerous area is located at about 16 to 18.5 degrees North latitude; east of 117.5 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the sea area southeast of the Northern East Sea region.
Forecast for the next 48 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move in the East direction at a speed of 5-10 km/h. The intensity gradually weakens into a low pressure area with winds below level 6.
By 13:00 on August 7, the center of the low pressure will be located at about 17.5 degrees North latitude - 123.1 degrees East longitude, over the sea east of Luzon Island (Philippines).
Regarding the impact of the storm, the sea area southeast of the Northern East Sea area has storms, strong winds at level 6-7, gusts at level 9, the area near the storm center passing through is strong at level 8, gusts at level 10; sea waves are 2 - 4m high, strong sea waves. Storm No. 3 is forecast not to affect the coastal and mainland areas of Vietnam.
Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds, and large waves.
