Updated bulletin issued at 7:20 am on May 9 from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, through monitoring on satellite images, thunderstorm and weather radar positioning data, a convective cloud area is developing in the Quang Bi, Thanh Oai, Tran Phu areas, and southern communes of Hanoi city.
The meteorological agency warns that in the period from now to the next 3 hours, this cloud area is likely to cause rain for wards/communes in the inner city of Hanoi. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. Warning level of natural disaster risk due to tornadoes, lightning, and hail is level 1.
On May 9th, the North will have showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially the Northwest region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain.
