People receive money more conveniently and safely
The policy of paying DVMTR money for many years has become a stable source of income for forest owners, residential communities, households and individuals contracting forest protection in Lam Dong province.

This funding source not only helps improve people's lives but also creates motivation to participate in forest management, protection and development.
Implementing the policy of digital transformation, the Lam Dong Provincial Forest Protection and Development Fund is gradually shifting from cash payments to payments through bank accounts.
Previously, many households in remote and isolated areas had to travel long distances to receive money, wasting time, travel costs and potential risks when carrying cash.
Currently, money is transferred directly to bank accounts, helping people proactively withdraw or use it when needed, more conveniently and safely.
Mr. K'Sai (village 3, Bao Lam 5 commune), a household contracted to protect more than 3 hectares of forest, said that before, each payment period, people had to gather crowds and wait quite a long time.
Since receiving money through a bank account, receiving money is faster and less time-consuming than before," Mr. K'Sai shared.

According to the Lam Dong Provincial Forest Protection and Development Fund, payment through banks not only facilitates people but also helps reduce organizational costs, limits crowded gatherings, and enhances publicity and transparency in managing DVMTR funds.
Enhancing transparency in payments
To date, 100% of forest owners who are organizations in Lam Dong province have received DVMTR money through bank accounts.
According to the Lam Dong Provincial Forest Protection and Development Fund, as of June 15, 2026, the unit has disbursed more than 469.7 billion VND of DVMTR funds in 2025, reaching 99.15% of the plan.
For 2026, the Fund has advanced nearly VND 79.5 billion, reaching 19.6% of the plan; the next advance is expected to be implemented in July 2026.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai - Director of the Provincial Forest Protection and Development Fund - said that the implementation in remote, isolated and ethnic minority areas still faces some difficulties.

Many households do not have complete personal papers, are not familiar with using banking services, or encounter problems with inheritance procedures and information verification, so opening accounts is still slow.
To overcome this, the Fund coordinates with local authorities and banks to send officials to the grassroots level to guide people to complete dossiers and open accounts, helping to reduce administrative procedures and ensure timely payment.
Payment through bank accounts helps limit the use of cash, reduce transportation and preservation costs, and reduce risks in centralized payments. Thereby contributing to improving the efficiency of state management and increasing transparency in policy implementation," Ms. Hai emphasized.
According to the Fund, with the specific characteristics of a locality with a large forest area, many households contracting in remote and isolated areas, payment through banks is an inevitable trend, in line with the policy of digital transformation and administrative reform.
The Fund also recommends that people actively coordinate with the government and forest owners in opening accounts, providing accurate and timely information when there are changes.
Payment through accounts not only helps people receive money quickly and safely, but also contributes to building a transparent, effective, and modern DVMTR payment system, thereby improving the effectiveness of forest protection and development policies in Lam Dong province.
