Recently, according to Decision No. 948 signed by Standing Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee Lo Van Cuong, the total amount approved for regulation is more than 43 billion VND.
This is a resource compiled from unidentified forest environmental service money (DVMTR) received in 2025 and previous years; unpaid arrears in the long period from 2013-2024; along with surplus money from projects with unidentified spenders from 2011-2014.
Nearly VND 40.4 billion will be "poured" directly to supplement the unit price for DVMTR payment for service supply basins in the province.
Areas directly benefiting from this funding include: the basin of inter-provincial water plants, the basin of inter-provincial hydropower plants, the Ma River basin and the Da River basin.
The province also allocated more than 2.6 billion VND to support scattered tree planting activities in DVMTR supply areas.
Allocate 1.6 billion VND to the People's Committee of Chieng Sinh commune to directly deploy planting trees in the commune.
The remaining amount of more than 1 billion VND is allocated to the Forest Protection and Development Fund to implement scattered tree planting in the province.
