The weather situation in the Central provinces is having notable developments, many localities have rain.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, last night and this morning, December 26, the area from Nghe An to Da Nang city, the east of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa had rain, showers, locally heavy rain and thunderstorms.
According to records, the rainfall from 7pm on December 25 to 8am on December 26 in some places has exceeded 70mm, specifically at monitoring stations such as: Dinh Bach Ma (Hue city) reached 93mm, Tam Tra (Da Nang city) reached 75.8mm.
The area from Quang Tri to Da Nang city, the east of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa on December 26 is forecast to continue to have rain, showers and thunderstorms in some places. The common rainfall during the day was from 10 - 20mm, however, some places still had heavy rain over 50mm. During thunderstorms, people need to be especially vigilant against the possibility of dangerous weather phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
Notably, local heavy rains are likely to cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in mountainous areas. For low-lying areas, it is necessary to proactively take response plans to possible flooding.
From the night of December 27 to 28, this area will have scattered rain and showers; from December 29, there will be rain in some places.
