Previously, from June 21 to July 20, the Northern and Central regions had 3 heat waves, severe heat on June 21 - 22, June 29 - July 1 and from July 8 - 13. Across the country, there are a number of meteorological stations that have recorded the highest daily temperature value exceeding historical values.
Regarding rainfall trends , the Northern, Central Highlands and Southern regions have total rainfall 5 - 20% higher than the average of many years in the same period. Total rainfall in the Central region is commonly 20 - 40% lower than the average for many years.
During the forecast period, except for the Central and South Central regions, other regions will have many days of showers and thunderstorms. There is a possibility of some moderate and widespread heavy rains lasting about 2-4 days. In addition, all three regions continue to guard against thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, and hail.
Warning of dangerous weather , the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting said that between now and August 10, there is a possibility of 1-2 storms or tropical depressions appearing in the East Sea and possibly affects mainland areas.
The meteorological agency warns that dangerous weather phenomena such as tropical storms/low pressure and the southwest monsoon are likely to cause strong winds and large waves, affecting activities in the East Sea area. Strong thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds can greatly affect production and civil activities.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting also notes that long-term warning bulletins are often trend forecasts. Therefore, in order for weather forecast information to have a higher basis, people should wait for short-term news reports to be released daily.
