On the night of January 11 and January 12, the western sea area of the Northern East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone) will have strong northeast winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7; rough seas, waves 2-3m high; on January 12, wind will gradually decrease.
The eastern sea area of the Northern East Sea, the sea area from Gia Lai to Ca Mau and the western sea area of the South East Sea (including the western sea area of the Truong Sa special zone) have strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusts of level 8 - 9; strong sea waves, waves 2-5m high; wind gradually decreases on January 12.
The central area of the East Sea has strong northeast winds at level 6, gusting at level 7; rough seas, waves 2 - 4m high; wind gradually decreases on January 12.
In addition, on the night of January 11 and January 12, the South China Sea area (including Truong Sa special zone) will have scattered showers and thunderstorms; in thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
On the night of January 12 and January 13, the northeast sea area of the Northern East Sea, the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau and the western sea area of the South East Sea (including the western sea area of the Truong Sa special zone) will have strong northeast winds at level 6, gusts at level 7 - 8; rough seas, waves 2-4m high.
The meteorological agency warns that the level of natural disaster risk at sea is level 2. All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and big waves.
