In addition, on the day and night of January 1, 2026, the sea area southeast of the Central East Sea and the South East Sea area (including Truong Sa special zone) will have scattered showers and thunderstorms; during thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind at level 6-7.
On January 2nd, day and night, the Gulf of Tonkin and the sea area from South Quang Tri to Quang Ngai will have strong northeast winds at level 6, gusts at level 7 - 8, rough seas, waves 2-5m high.

The central area of the East Sea, the sea area from Gia Lai to Ca Mau and the western sea area of the South East Sea (including the western sea area of the Truong Sa special zone) will have strong northeast winds at level 6, sometimes level 7, gusts at level 8 - 9, strong sea waves, waves 3-6m high.
The meteorological agency warns that the level of natural disaster risk at sea is level 2. All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and big waves.
