According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the activity of cold air continues to cause unfavorable weather in some sea areas. Currently, the Huyen Tran monitoring station has strong northeast winds at level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting at level 8; Phu Quy station has strong gusts at level 7.
On the night of January 24 and January 25, the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ho Chi Minh City, the western sea area of the South China Sea (including the western sea area of the Truong Sa special zone) will have strong northeast winds of level 6, gusts of level 7 - 8, rough seas, waves 2 - 4 m high.
From the night of January 25, the wind in the above sea areas will gradually decrease.
The meteorological agency warns that the level of natural disaster risk at sea is level 2. All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and big waves.
Cold air in the period from now to February is likely to operate weaker than the average of many years, but still affects sea weather. Strong winds due to the influence of cold air can cause big waves at sea and affect the activities of ships and boats.
Regarding other dangerous weather phenomena, there is little chance of storms or tropical depressions appearing in the East Sea area in the next 1 month. According to multi-year average data, in the East Sea there are 0.13 storms/tropical depression, not making landfall in Vietnam.
