In the Southern Central Highlands and the South, from the evening of October 3 to October 4, there is forecast to be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 15 - 30mm, locally over 80mm.
The Meteorological Agency warns that thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods in small rivers and streams; and landslides on steep slopes.
Regarding sea weather, on the day and night of October 3, the northeastern sea area of the North East Sea (north of latitude 20.5; east of longitude 118) will have strong winds of level 7 - 9, near the center of storm Krathon level 10 - 12, gusting to level 15; the sea will be very rough.
The northeastern sea area of the North East Sea has storms and rain; the sea area from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa has showers and thunderstorms.
On October 4, the northeastern sea area of the North East Sea (north of latitude 22; east of longitude 118.5) has strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8 - 9. Rough seas, waves 2 - 4m high; 3 - 5m in the east.
The risk level of natural disasters due to strong winds at sea is level 2, and the northeastern sea area of the North East Sea is level 3.
All vessels operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by cyclones, strong winds and large waves.
