Monitoring results at 2:00 p.m. on May 19 posted on the website of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment showed that there were 2 areas at a good threshold, namely: Luu Quang Vu Street, Trung Hoa Ward (Cau Giay District), AQI index was 40; Minh Khai Ward (Bac Tu Liem District), AQI index was 49; There were 3 air areas at an average threshold, including: No. 50 Dao Duy Tu (Hoan Kiem District) at level 54, Van Ha Commune (Dong Anh District) at level 58 and An Khanh Commune (Hoai Duc District) at level 69.
The monitoring results released by the cem.gov.vn website of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment at the same time showed that all 3 areas with air quality monitoring stations were at an average level.
The highest AQI is at 556 Nguyen Van Cu (Long Bien District) at 97, followed by Hanoi University of Science and Technology, AQI is 80 and Thanh Xuan Park at 64.
Previously, the monitoring results were announced at 8:00 a.m., most areas had good air quality. However, as the afternoon and evening go, the amount of fine dust is generated, so some areas increase pollution at an average level.
Areas with good air quality do not affect health; areas with average, only affect sensitive groups. When traveling to areas with an AQI at an average level, people should wear standard masks to limit fine dust affecting their health.
