Hanoi area
From September 14 to September 20, sunny days, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and night; from the night of September 15 to 16, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and night.
Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
Northern Region
From September 14 to September 20, the North will have sunny days, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening. From September 15 to 16, the North will have intermittent sunny days, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening.
Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
In the first days of the week, floods on rivers in the Northern region gradually decreased, then changed slowly.
Central Region
In the North Central region from September 14 to 20, it is forecasted to be sunny during the day, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and at night; from September 16 to 17, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and at night.
In the Central and South Central regions, it is forecasted that from September 14 to 19, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some heavy rain. On September 20, the Central and South Central regions will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. Thunderstorms are likely to cause tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.
Water levels in rivers in the Central region change slowly.
Central Highlands and Southern Region
From September 14 to 19, the Central Highlands and the South will have moderate to heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain. Rain will be concentrated in the afternoon and at night.
September 20, intermittent sunshine, afternoon and evening showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. Thunderstorms are likely to cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
Water levels in rivers in the Central Highlands change slowly.
The water level of the Mekong River upstream changes with the tide.
Oceanographic situation assessment
From September 14 to 20, wave heights in the sea area from Binh Dinh to Ca Mau, the East Sea area (including Truong Sa archipelago) tend to increase, commonly fluctuating between 2 - 5m, rough seas.
The sea area from Ca Mau to Kien Giang and the Gulf of Thailand has waves ranging from 1.5 - 3m, rough sea. Other areas have small waves under 2m.
