Hanoi area
From December 22 to 23, Hanoi generally has no rain, sunny days. Cold weather.
From December 24 to 27, Hanoi will have rain in some places; on December 26 to 27, there will be scattered rain and light rain; cold weather.
Northern Region
From December 22 to 23, the North will generally have no rain, sunny days. It will be cold, with some mountainous areas experiencing severe cold.
From December 24 to 27, the North will have rain in some places; on December 26 to 27, there will be scattered rain and light rain. The weather is cold, with some mountainous areas experiencing severe cold.
Water levels of rivers in the North change slowly.
Central Region
North Central region from December 21 to 27 has scattered rain; cold weather.
Central Central and South Central regions on December 22 will have rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. The north will be cold.
From December 23 to 26, the Central and South Central regions will have moderate rain, heavy rain, and locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms;
On December 27, the Central and South Central regions will have showers, with some places experiencing heavy rain and thunderstorms. The North will be cold. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, whirlwinds and strong gusts of wind.
From December 23 to 27, 2024, there is a possibility of a flood on rivers from Thua Thien Hue to Ninh Thuan. There is a high risk of flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas, flooding in low-lying areas along rivers and urban areas in the provinces from Thua Thien Hue to Ninh Thuan. During the week, water levels on other rivers will change slowly.
Central Highlands
From December 22 to 23, the Central Highlands will have showers and thunderstorms in some places.
From December 24 to 27, the Central Highlands will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain; in the east, from December 24 to 25, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain, some places having very heavy rain and thunderstorms. Thunderstorms are likely to have tornadoes, whirlwinds and strong gusts of wind.
Water levels in the Central Highlands rivers fluctuate.
Southern Vietnam
From December 22 to 23, the South will have showers and thunderstorms in some places.
From December 24 to 27, the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms; the East will have rain, moderate rain, locally heavy rain and thunderstorms from December 24 to 25. Thunderstorms are likely to have tornadoes, whirlwinds and strong gusts of wind.

Oceanographic situation assessment
From December 22 to 25, due to the influence of the northeast monsoon, the wave height in the North East Sea and the middle East Sea (including the Hoang Sa archipelago) ranges from 4 to 6m, the area from Quang Tri to Binh Thuan, the South East Sea (including the Truong Sa archipelago) has a common wave height of 3 to 5m, with rough seas.
From December 26 to 27, wave height tends to decrease gradually in sea areas, except in the North East Sea where wave height remains high.
