Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper , Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tung - Director of Giap Bat Bus Station (Hanoi) - said that due to the impact of Typhoon Yagi, public passenger transport routes and fixed passenger routes have temporarily stopped operating, leaving people without means of transportation to return home. To support passengers, Giap Bat Bus Station has created conditions for people to take shelter from the storm and eat and drink for free.
Accordingly, each person who misses the bus will be given a bottle of mineral water by the station and will be taken home by the bus. Passengers traveling by inter-provincial bus will be supported by the station with a bowl of noodles or pho, mineral water and bread (about 50,000 VND/person), and a free place to stay overnight.
Storm No. 3, internationally known as Yagi, is moving inland with very strong intensity and complex developments.
To ensure the safety of people and vehicles, Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company recommends that transport units proactively adjust and temporarily suspend operations for trips operating during storm No. 3 (Yagi). Especially for provinces where the storm passes, transport will only be carried out when ensuring sufficient safety conditions for passengers and vehicles when operating on the route.
"Not only supporting passengers during the storm, bus station staff are also ready to guide and advise passengers on their travel schedules after the storm passes," Mr. Tung added.
