On May 27, Ham Tan Commune Police (Lam Dong province) said that they had supported people to receive back 11 million VND due to mistaken transfers.
Previously, the on-duty police of Ham Tan commune received a report from Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Thien about the fact that his bank account suddenly received 11 million VND transferred from a stranger.
After receiving the information, Ham Tan Commune Police coordinated with the bank to verify the owner of the money transfer account. Through working, functional forces identified the person who mistakenly transferred money as Mr. Nguyen Tan Cuong (residing in Ham Tan commune).

The cause of the incident was determined to be due to Mr. Cuong's mistake in the process of transferring money from the purchase and sale, so he transferred it to Mr. Thien's account.
After clarifying the incident, Ham Tan Commune Police invited Mr. Thien and Mr. Cuong to the headquarters to carry out procedures to return the full amount of 11 million VND to the mistaken transferee.
At Ham Thuan Commune Police, the on-duty team received a report from people about picking up a lost wallet, inside which there were many important personal papers.

Immediately after that, the commune police quickly deployed measures to verify the information of the property owner. Through inspection, functional forces determined that the wallet belonged to Ms. Tran Thi Huong Giang (born 2004, residing in hamlet 1, Ham Thuan commune).
Ham Thuan Commune Police then contacted and invited Ms. Giang to the headquarters to receive all assets and documents in accordance with regulations.
Both cases show the honesty and sense of responsibility of the people when proactively reporting assets related to others.
In addition, the rapid involvement of grassroots police forces in verifying and supporting handling also contributes to helping people feel secure and strengthening their belief in the spirit of serving people of functional forces.
