With more than 58 million people participating in 11 Red Journey programs in provinces and cities, the organizing committee received 815 thousand units of blood, meeting the treatment needs of patients nationwide.
In Dien Bien province, voluntary blood donation activities have become increasingly pervasive, becoming a humanitarian movement attracting the participation and support of a large number of officials, union members, youth and people of all ethnicities. .
In 2023 alone, the Dien Bien Province Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee has received nearly 6,000 units of safe blood; The rate of voluntary blood donation reached 100%, the rate of population donating blood reached nearly 1%.
Recognizing the feelings and hearts of typical groups, individuals, and families in the voluntary blood donation movement, in this year's Red Journey Program in Dien Bien, the Vietnam Red Cross Central Association donated Certificates of Merit for 4 groups, 1 family and 5 individuals.
The People's Committee of Dien Bien province and the Red Cross Society of Dien Bien province also awarded many certificates of merit to groups and individuals; The Red Cross awarded certificates of "Golden Humanitarian Heart" to 3 units participating in supporting the 12th Red Journey Program and awarded 21 cards to individuals who registered to donate organ tissue.
At the program, 400 officials, civil servants, public employees, union members, and bar members registered to donate blood; The organizers expect to receive more than 300 units of blood.
