As usual, on the occasion of the September 2nd holiday this year, Ben Luc District Police (Long An Province) continued to carry out the activity "Inviting people to drink free water".
From early morning on August 31, the traffic of people and vehicles on major routes through Ben Luc district increased. The police force also worked hard to regulate and direct traffic and support people returning home for the holidays .
At Provincial Road 830C (Thanh Phu Commune) and National Highway 1 through Ben Luc Town, the police force deployed 2 free water distribution points. It is expected that at each point, 1,000 bottles of mineral water will be distributed, funded by social mobilization. However, depending on the actual situation, more bottles of mineral water from social mobilization sources will be distributed for free to passersby.
In addition to bottles of mineral water, children returning home with their parents were also delighted to receive mid-autumn gifts of lollipops along the way from police officers.
In just a short time of the team being deployed, many water bottles were given to passersby, accompanied by greetings and smiles.
“This is a meaningful activity that police officers and soldiers have maintained over the years during holidays and Tet. Thereby, it contributes to spreading and building a beautiful image of the People's Police soldiers, as well as leaving deep impressions about the land and people of Ben Luc, gentle, kind and affectionate”, shared Lieutenant Colonel Truong Nhat Minh - Head of Ben Luc District Police.
In the crowded crowd, while passing through the water distribution point on National Highway 1 in Ben Luc, Mr. Le Van Nhan - driving a motorbike carrying his wife and young daughter back to his hometown in Vinh Long - stopped to receive free bottles of cool water from a female traffic police officer.
“These bottles of cool water help many travelers to ease their fatigue. In particular, the love and kindness of individuals and organizations is a valuable source of encouragement, giving us more strength to continue our journey ahead,” Mr. Nhan expressed, not forgetting to send his thanks before leaving.
Like many others, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Lan Anh drove her motorbike from Binh Duong early in the morning to her hometown in Ben Tre. According to her, she had intended to stop at a roadside cafe several times on the way, but the road was so crowded that she gave up. When she passed through Highway 830C in Ben Luc District, she saw officers and soldiers giving out free water, so she stopped to receive a bottle of water.
“The material value is not great but it has great meaning and spreads positive and humane values. I and many others have witnessed and received kindness and humanity. The bottles of water will leave many good impressions, giving me positive energy,” Lan Anh expressed.
For members participating in the free water distribution, joy and happiness are when seeing the nods, thanks and bright smiles from everyone. All members forget all the fatigue in the busy streets. As the members expressed, it is also the motivation to continue doing meaningful things, spreading love in life.
