Environmental worker for over 30 years celebrates Tet on the street

Near Tet, in cold and rainy weather, workers of Hue Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company (HEPCO) are still busy collecting garbage, cleaning roads, parks... to bring people and tourists a green, clean, and beautiful Tet space.

According to HEPCO leaders, the company is increasing garbage collection on roads, rivers, under-bridge areas and cleaning public trash bins, especially classified trash bins. In addition, more trash bins will be added in areas with large amounts of garbage during Tet. Hue Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company also increases watering of streets and sidewalks at night to maintain environmental hygiene.

Sharing with us, Mr. Thai Van Cam (Bac Song Huong Environmental Enterprise) - who has spent 33 years welcoming New Year's Eve on the streets, confided: "Every New Year's Eve, I cannot be with my family to welcome the new year, but still have to do the cleaning work on the streets, so that everyone has a clean space. I really hope that people understand and share, do not litter, do not scatter or burn votive paper on the streets on New Year's Eve. Doing so not only keeps the hygiene but also helps us finish the work early, so we can reunite with our families in the important moments of the new year."
