Hanoi - Vinawind's nearly 3ha land plot on Nguyen Duc Canh street is oriented to develop into an apartment complex with an investment capital of nearly 1,200 billion VND.
Land plot No. 164 Nguyen Duc Canh, Tuong Mai ward, where the headquarters and factory of Thong Nhat Electrical Engineering Joint Stock Company (Vinawind) are located, is being oriented to develop into a T&T Home apartment complex with a total expected investment of nearly 1,200 billion VND.This is considered one of the few remaining industrial land funds located within the Ring Road 2.5 of Hanoi. The land area is nearly 3ha, expected to supplement the housing supply for the southern area of the Capital in the coming years.According to the plan, the project has been included by the Hanoi People's Committee in the list of pilot land areas for commercial housing development from April 2025. The implementation progress is expected to last in the period 2025-2030.Reporters' records on May 23rd show that the main gate of the factory is located on Nguyen Duc Canh street, surrounded by a densely populated residential area and a synchronously developing infrastructure system.The factory currently maintains production and distribution activities. Many residents of Tuong Mai ward said that this factory has been associated with the area for decades. If relocated to develop the urban area, people expect the project to have more green trees, infrastructure and public space. In the photo, the two-story operating building is still used as a customer service center and a VinaWind product display store.Inside the factory premises, production and distribution of goods are still maintained.Internal activities at the factory are still taking place normally while waiting for decisions related to site handover and project implementation.Thong Nhat Electrical and Mechanical Plant (Vinawind) is located near Den Lu Lake, creating a great advantage in landscape and living space if it is redeveloped into a residential complex in the future.
Thong Nhat Electrical Mechanical Joint Stock Company was formerly Thong Nhat Electrical and Gas Enterprise (established in 1965).
This enterprise switched to the equitization model from 2015. In early 2018, the Hanoi People's Committee organized an auction of the entire state capital here, equivalent to more than 6.7 million shares, accounting for 46.9% of charter capital.
The factory's land is assessed to have a favorable location as it is adjacent to the Truong Dinh - Hoang Mai - Vinh Tuy road under construction. This road will connect the Nguyen Duc Canh intersection area, Den Lu lake with Tam Trinh road.
