Dr. The Hung, aesthologist, spent 400 days and nights writing portraits of 56 artists - outstanding faces in the fields of culture, art and academics including: famous painter Bui Xuan Phai, musician Van Cao, writer Nguyen Tuan...
At the book launch on June 28 in Hanoi, the author compared the work to a "form of stele" and he devoted all his efforts to engraving it into the stele of portraits of 56 talented faces of the country in many fields. All characters appearing in the book are people that Dr. The Hung is familiar with and leave many memories and impressions in his life.

The book is divided into 2 main parts: Part I - Memories of the author from childhood to adulthood, building a career; Part II - Memories of artists, special figures in the field of modern Vietnamese culture, art and knowledge.
In addition, Dr. The Hung has also worked hard to collect 800 rare documentary photos that he has kept for more than half a century, hoping to give readers a colorful perspective on talented people in many fields.

Dr. The Hung shared that, Words are the gem of the brain. I used those pearls to attach 56 portraits of miracles and rarities in the world to a corner of the historical picture. Therefore, readers cannot help but be curious right from the beginning of reading the titles such as: "Mom, let me be your servant", "Return to singer Trung Duc", "Duong Quoc Quoc Quoc National Teacher", "GA du ca Tran Tien", or "Nhac ai 50 million for 3 songs"...
For Dr. The Hung, the book not only helps him preserve memories but also helps future generations understand the talents, life, fate, pain, and hidden corners of the talented people.
