For workers far from home, Tet always carries a brain-wracking problem about costs. Train tickets, bus tickets, and air tickets increase sharply at the end of the year, sometimes becoming barriers, causing many workers to accept staying in the city and celebrating Tet away from their families.
In that context, train and bus trips organized by Trade Union organizations at all levels in the direction of widespread coverage next year and better than the previous year are a solution to take care of workers' lives in depth and sustainably.
Another noteworthy point is that to return to their hometown to celebrate Tet and reunite with their families, some workers need air tickets, some need train tickets, some only need meaningful bus trips, and some choose to stay in the city. Therefore, instead of just a form of care, trade union levels have flexibly implemented policies and expanded tools, so that each circumstance has an appropriate plan.
In Dong Nai, hundreds of train and plane tickets were awarded to workers in difficult circumstances. In Ho Chi Minh City, round-trip trains not only take workers home but also consider the journey back to the city, ensuring production rhythm after Tet.
In Da Nang, the 2026 Spring Trade Union Bus model shows a humane step forward when expanding the participants not only to union members, but also to parents, spouses, and children of workers.
More notably, the Tet care of the Trade Union organization for union members and workers is extended throughout the Tet journey of workers.
From supporting transportation, reducing cost pressure during peak days, to organizing year-end meals, giving Tet gifts, taking care of people staying in boarding houses... all form a continuous support chain. Thanks to that, whether returning to their hometowns or staying, workers can feel that Tet is approaching, not being left behind the atmosphere of union members. In a deeper sense, the Trade Union's Tet care work is not only aimed at immediate social security, but also contributes to restoring the spirit of labor after a year of great pressure.
A safe and free trip not only helps workers save costs, but also helps them feel secure to return to work after Tet, reducing the risk of labor shortage.
Trade union trains and buses are therefore even more meaningful than social security. That is the investment in social stability, for a sustainable labor market and for the competitiveness of industrial cities. A timely Tet ticket, a meaningful bus trip, a gift, a year-end meal... will make workers feel that they are being cherished.
And it is from those seemingly very small things that faith, attachment and motivation to work are nurtured persistently through each spring.
