What is special about this project is that it is not only being implemented on schedule, but is also expected to be completed on April 30, 2025, 8 months ahead of schedule.
In the past, many transport infrastructure projects were delayed, over budget, and of poor quality due to embezzlement, causing public outrage. Therefore, projects that are completed on schedule or early, saving time and costs, not only create economic benefits, but also build a new value in project implementation, which is to keep commitments.
Enterprises participating in the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway project are determined to ensure the quality of the project, exceed the plan to put it into operation soon, helping people travel conveniently and contributing to promoting economic development.
According to information from contractors, up to now, the total volume of the expressway project has reached 82% of the construction value according to the contract. Of which, the entire roadbed has been constructed for 77km, reaching 96%. It is expected to open to traffic on April 30, 2025, but currently, 68.35km of the connecting section from the starting point of the Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway to the Van Gia intersection (Van Ninh district) has been completed.
Because a nearly 70km section of the expressway has been completed and can be put into operation, the contractors proposed that the Ministry of Transport and Project Management Board 7 direct relevant units to complete procedures according to regulations to put the project into operation before January 10, 2025.
This is the enthusiasm of the contractors, adding nearly 70km of highway will support people to travel before and after Tet safely, conveniently, and save time.
No one forces contractors to put the highway into operation before Tet, and putting it into operation early does not bring economic benefits to contractors. After all, contractors have no other purpose than to serve the community, which is very commendable.
The Ministry of Transport is considering that if this section of the highway meets technical and safety standards, it will approve it for operation according to the proposal of the joint venture contractor. It is also the right thing to do for people returning home for Tet to have another good stretch of road to travel.
Through the proposal of the Van Phong - Nha Trang Expressway joint venture, it shows that there are many capable and responsible enterprises, including social responsibility. Other enterprises should refer to this approach to change and progress together.
