On September 27, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Kiem Hao - Director of the Hue City Department of Health said that the unit had coordinated with the People's Committee of Phu Vang commune to investigate, collect samples, and handle the suspected food poisoning case that caused 14 people to be hospitalized.
Previously, on September 23, 14 people in Phu Vang commune were taken to Phu Vang Medical Center with symptoms of suspected poisoning after eating bread from a business establishment in Thanh Lam Bo village.
Of which, an 8-week pregnant woman was transferred to Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital. Currently, all patients have stabilized, 9 people (including pregnant women) have been discharged from the hospital.
The above bread supplier has been asked to temporarily suspend operations to serve the verification and clarification of the cause.
