Exfoliate with baking soda
Exfoliation helps remove dead skin, preventing bacteria from sticking to the skin surface. Helps absorb sweat, eliminates the environment for bacteria to grow, and significantly reduces body odor.
Ingredient:
- 15 grams baking soda
- 15ml water
- In a small bowl, mix together equal parts baking soda and water.
- Stir the mixture until it thickens.
- Gently apply the mixture to the skin, focusing on areas prone to odor such as underarms, groin and feet.
- Massage in circular motions to exfoliate skin.
- Rinse skin with warm water.
- Pat dry with a clean towel to prevent bacteria from accumulating under the skin due to moisture.
- For best results, use the baking soda scrub 1-2 times a week.
Deodorize with apple cider vinegar
Due to its acidic properties, apple cider vinegar is used as a natural deodorant, helping to balance the skin's pH and reduce bacterial growth.
Ingredient:
- 30ml apple cider vinegar
- 30ml water
Making:
- Mix equal parts apple cider vinegar and water in a small spray bottle.
- After bathing, spray diluted vinegar solution under the armpits or areas prone to odor.
- Let the vinegar dry naturally on the skin.
- After a few hours, rinse the vinegar off with water.
- For best results, use this method daily or as needed.
Gargle with green tea
Green tea contains polyphenols, which have antibacterial properties that help fight odor-causing bacteria.
Ingredient:
- 1 green tea bag
- Hot water
Making:
- Steep a green tea bag in hot water for 3 - 5 minutes.
- Let the tea cool completely.
- After bathing, pour cooled green tea water on underarms or areas prone to odor.
- Let the green tea dry naturally on your skin.
- After a few hours, rinse the green tea with water.
Note: You can also apply cold green tea directly to your armpits with a cotton ball. For a pleasant scent, add a few drops of essential oil such as lavender or tea tree oil to the green tea.
