On September 3, 7 specialists from leading hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City arrived at Con Dao Special Forces and accepted a assignment at the Con Dao Special Forces Medical Center.
Doctors working at major hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City include: Binh Dan Hospital, Gia Dinh People's Hospital, Hung Vuong Hospital, Children's Hospital 1, Orthopedic Trauma Hospital and Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital. At the same time, they are experts from the departments of obstetrics, pediatrics, general surgery, Orthopedic trauma, anesthesia resuscitation, general internal medicine and kidney filtration.
Doctors will be assigned to perform medical examination and treatment for local people for 1 month, while sharing professional experience and supporting capacity building for local health care teams.
This is the first group of doctors in the rotation program of specialists in Ho Chi Minh City to work in Con Dao special zone - part of a key activity to improve the quality of health care for people in the frontal islands.
