Temporarily suspending the operation of the Vung Tau - Con Dao high-speed train line from September 3

THÀNH AN |

HCMC - The high-speed passenger transport train from Vung Tau to Con Dao has temporarily stopped operating since September 3 for periodic maintenance.

On August 28, Phu Quoc Express Joint Stock Company (Phu Quoc Express) said that it had just sent a document to partners and customers regarding the temporary suspension of the high-speed train route to transport passengers from Vung Tau to Con Dao and vice versa.

Accordingly, the Vung Tau - Con Dao route operated by the Thang Long high-speed ship with more than 1,000 seats will stop operating from September 3, until further notice.

Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of Phu Quoc Express said that the reason for the temporary suspension of this service route is due to the Thang Long ship being put up for annual maintenance. The ship is expected to resume operation in December 2025.

Passengers who want to go to Con Dao by sea can still depart from Tran De (Can Tho), when the Tran De - Con Dao route and vice versa are operated regularly every day. At the same time, there are also ticket discounts for tourists from September 15 to December 15.
