The package has a total value of VND 895 billion to supply 869 drug items.
A representative of the Binh Duong Department of Health said that the successful bidding for the above drug supply package basically provided all the health insurance-covered drugs for public health facilities in Binh Duong province in 2024-2026.
This is expected to end the prolonged shortage of health insurance-covered medicine in Binh Duong in recent times.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper had many articles reflecting the shortage of medicine and medical supplies for health insurance examination and treatment at Binh Duong General Hospital and other public health facilities in Binh Duong. This causes disadvantages for poor patients who are covered by health insurance. According to the explanation of the health sector, the reason is that the bidding package to supply Generic drugs to public health facilities in Binh Duong province expires on April 12, 2024. Therefore, there has been a local shortage of drugs in some medical facilities.
