On May 28, information from the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district (Nghe An province) said that after the inspection, the district's interdisciplinary team requested Mr. Bui Van Quang (residing in block 9, Cau Giat town) to stop treating patients at his private home until he was granted a license according to regulations.
This facility is known through social networks for advertising to treat diseases by fasting, only drinking alkaline ionized water, even for patients with terminal cancer. At the time of the inspection (afternoon of May 26), the authorities discovered that at Mr. Quang's house, there were 5 people staying for "treatment", along with equipment such as oxygen tanks, water purifiers, and massagers. However, Mr. Quang could not present any license or practice certificate. The advertising sign has been removed.

Although he affirmed that he does not seek medical examination and treatment, Mr. Quang still receives patients from other localities and guides them to practice fasting and drinking alkaline ionized water to clean their bodies. Those who come here must write a voluntary commitment and pay 200,000 VND/day to pay for living expenses.
According to the report of the People's Committee of Cau Giat town, Mr. Quang's continued "treatment" could affect security and order that people with little knowledge are seeking. Faced with this situation, the district has taken action to handle, suspend operations and request to stop violations.
