On the evening of December 1, at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace, Hanoi, through the campaign "A million feelings sent to cancer patients", the FPT Long Chau pharmacy and vaccination system donated 300 million VND to the Cancer Patient Support Fund - Bright Tomorrow, to support cancer patients in difficult circumstances.
At the ceremony, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan said that cancer is becoming a major burden for countries around the world. It is forecasted that by 2030, about 75% of cancer deaths will occur in low- and middle-income countries. In the next 50 years, the burden of cancer will continue to increase due to the impact of population growth, the environment, urbanization and lifestyle changes.
Thanks to the kindness, empathy and sharing of all of you, like a warm fire that helps soothe the pain, helps to light up positive hope and an optimistic attitude for cancer patients and children; in line with the spirit of the emulation movement launched by the Prime Minister and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front: "For the poor - leaving no one behind".
"On behalf of patients in difficult circumstances, I would like to express my most sincere gratitude to the extremely valuable "golden hearts" who have been, are and will continue to stand side by side with the Fund in the coming time" - the Minister of Health shared at the art exchange program to raise funds to support poor cancer patients "Bright Tomorrow" - said the Minister.
Also at the ceremony, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien highly appreciated and welcomed the Ministry of Health and doctors who understood and sympathized with their prestige, love and responsibility to establish the Cancer Patient Support Fund - Bright Tomorrow with profound humanity to support poor cancer patients.
“The Fund has contributed to furthering the tradition of charity “Love others as you love yourself” and “Love the gourd and the squash” of the Vietnamese people. It can be said that cancer patients are people with great difficulties, lacking in material things, and in mental crisis, and need the cooperation and support of the community and society to give them more strength to fight the disease,” Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized.
On behalf of the leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Do Van Chien called on collectives and individuals at home and abroad, Vietnamese people abroad, and foreigners living and working in Vietnam to show their love and support so that the Fund can help poor cancer patients overcome their fate and have more faith and hope in life.

At the same time, we implement policies to support patients and their families through the service of buying first, paying later with 0% interest for cancer treatment drugs according to hospital prescriptions."
